Q:When are your breads baked?
A:Our breads are baked the day of the request or the day before an event, Farmers' Market, Oklahoma Food Coop, etc. Q:Where do you get the ingredients for your products?
A:We use many of our own, farm raised ingredients such as various fresh herbs, sun-dried tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, zucchini squash, local harvested honey, and local cheeses for our breads. In most of our jellies and jams we use only our own or local grown fruits.
Q:Do these breads last as long as store bought bread?
A:Our breads are made fresh, with no preservatives. The average life of the bread can be anywhere from 3 to 12 days... depending on ingredients, humidity, etc. If your bread bag becomes foggy or moist, remove the bread and place in a new dry bag.
Q:Can you freeze the breads?
A:Yes. Our breads do well frozen, but they should be placed in a freezer bag for protection. Often you will find that freezing your bread and then defrosting creates a cleaner sliced bread.
Q:Should I refrigerate my bread?
A:Typically, no. Refrigerating bread tends to dry it out quicker. The only exception is the Italian Pepperoni Cheese Roll. The ingredients of the bread help it to not dry out as quickly as the typical bread and refrigerating it helps preserve the pepperoni and cheese longer. |
